Gift giving as a minimalist or to a minimalist means coming up with creative gift ideas that do not bring clutter into people’s lives. If you’re anything like me, you still haven’t finished Christmas shopping. The procrastination is real. I think I might be the world’s worst at picking out gifts, and I hate the idea of giving someone a random item that they might not use or enjoy. This minimalist gift giving guide isn’t just for Christmas, use it all year round!
Minimalist gifts differ from items you might normally buy because they are not usually physical items. They are gifts that either never take up space or disappear once you use them. This is a limited list intended to give ideas and inspire you to get creative. Keep in mind what the person you are gifting would appreciate.
Cash is king. I don’t find it to be an impersonal gift because it allows someone to buy anything they want or need.
If you know a certain store or brand that someone loves, a gift card is a great idea. I also love giving these to restaurants!
You can get really creative with experience gifts. They never take up space and are guaranteed to create memories.
